Talat Masood tracks country's 'incredible journey'

The launch ceremony of An Incredible Journey of Pakistan: Evolution, Landmark Events and Their Impact, authored by former Federal Secretary and retired Lieutenant General Talat Masood, was held at a local hotel in Karachi.
The book was formally introduced by noted writer and former federal minister Javed Jabbar, who also reflected on significant aspects of the author's personal and professional journey. In his remarks, Jabbar said the book not only captures the extraordinary life of Gen (R) Talat Masood but also mirrors Pakistan's turbulent history, deeply intertwined with the author's experiences. Jabbar also highlighted Masood's role in Track-II diplomacy, his unwavering commitment to democracy, and his unique perspective shaped by his time in China during the Cultural Revolution.
The book consists of eight core lessons along with two annexes, including Personal Milestones and Key Events and The Arab Spring and Its Implications for Pakistan. It covers a wide range of topics such as the Afghan war, militancy, the role of the United States, and Pakistan's fight against terrorism.
