
The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) on Friday announced that there would be no gas suspension on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
In a statement, the company said the scheduled overnight gas shutdown—from 11pm to morning—has been postponed in honour of the religious occasion.
“This decision has been taken by the management for the convenience of consumers,” the statement read.
The SSGC spokesperson confirmed that uninterrupted gas supply would be ensured until 10pm on Saturday (today).
“Load management scheduled for Friday–Saturday night has been deferred, and there will be no interruption in gas supply tonight,” the spokesperson added.

It is pertinent to mention that households in Karachi experience gas load shedding at night time throughout the year due to looming gas crisis in the country.
The Sindh government announced a two-day public holiday on September 5 and 6 in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
A notification issued on Wednesday confirmed that the holidays would be observed across the province. The holidays correspond to the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The federal government also declared September 6 as a nationwide holiday to mark the religious occasion.
