The house of Syed Tajammul Hussain, the main accused in the brutal killing of six people in Lower Kurram, was demolished with explosives in a joint operation carried out by tribal lashkar, security forces, and local elders, under the supervision of the district administration.
According to police sources, the incident took place in Ahmed Khan Kali area of Lower Kurram where, a day earlier, six people were shot dead when gunmen opened fire on a passenger vehicle.
Soon after the attack, the accused, Syed Tajammul Hussain, released a video statement on social media, admitting responsibility for the killings and claiming it was an act of revenge for his brother's murder.
In his video, Hussain alleged that his brother, Muhammad Naqi, was killed in Peshawar on January 30 over a business dispute involving a large sum of money. He stated that he intended to apprehend the alleged killers alive, but opened fire after they resisted, resulting in their deaths.
Following the confession, tribal elders, in line with the local traditions and the Kohat Agreement, held a jirga and authorized the demolition of the accused's house. The operation was conducted with explosives and was hailed by local elders as a necessary step to maintain peace and order in the area.
