AEW star and WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett has opened up about a deeply personal memory involving Taylor Swift.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Jarrett revealed that shortly before his wife Jill passed away from breast cancer, Swift performed a private concert for his family and friends that lasted three hours.
Jarrett explained the performance took place around Christmas in 2006, just five months before Jill’s death. At the time, Swift was still a rising country artist living in Hendersonville, Tennessee, near the Jarrett family. “My wife was really ill and passed away about five months after,” Jarrett recalled.
The wrestler said a mutual friend suggested Swift visit after learning of Jill’s diagnosis. Initially arriving without her guitar, Swift returned home to fetch it when Jarrett’s daughters asked her to play. What began as a small family gathering quickly grew to about 45 people once Swift started performing. “By the end of the afternoon, Taylor played about three hours,” Jarrett said, calling it “an amazing experience.”
The memory underscores Swift’s long-standing bond with the Jarrett family, years before she became one of the biggest names in music.
Today, Swift continues to make headlines with her personal and professional milestones, including her recent engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and the upcoming release of her album The Life of a Showgirl, out October 3.
