Various speakers reaffirmed their commitment to building a Pakistan where citizens of all religions and backgrounds enjoy equal rights and contribute equally to the country's social and national development. The event was organised by the Parliamentarians Commission for Human Rights (PCHR).
They emphasised that national progress and social harmony are only possible when no citizen is left behind.
Speakers called upon policymakers, parliamentarians, and civil society to work towards realising the vision laid out by Pakistan's founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, in his historic address on August 11, 1947 - to build a nation where every citizen enjoys equal rights, regardless of religion or background.
