BTS’s Jin wins dual honours at 2025 Brand of the Year Awards and tops August brand rankings

BTS member Kim Seok-jin, better known as Jin, achieved significant recognition at the 2025 Brand of the Year Awards. He was named Best Male Variety Show Idol, while his Netflix series Kian’s Bizarre B&B received the OTT Programme Entertainment Award.

The wins highlight Jin’s growing presence beyond music, with fans and analysts crediting his success to versatility across entertainment fields.

His achievements follow a strong showing in August’s brand reputation analysis, where he placed first among all idols, male and female combined.

According to data from the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, Jin accumulated 5,786,723 points in August 2025, representing a 48.52 per cent rise compared to the previous month.

His score was broken down into a participation index of 193,207, media index of 371,136, communication index of 2,249,814, and community index of 2,972,565.

High-engagement keywords such as “sold out tickets” and “world tour” were cited as driving factors behind his ranking, reflecting the strength of his influence both in South Korea and internationally.

Fans have described his post-military career resurgence as an impressive demonstration of his enduring popularity.

Commentators also highlighted how Jin’s activities in variety programming and digital streaming platforms are extending his reach to new audiences beyond BTS’s established fanbase.

Jin’s recognition at the Brand of the Year Awards and his number one position in the brand reputation index mark a strong continuation of his career momentum, underscoring his impact across music, entertainment, and media engagement.
