Roblox has set a new record for the highest number of concurrent users on a platform, reaching 47.3 million players logged in simultaneously. The milestone surpasses Steam’s peak of 41.2 million, recorded in March 2025.

The achievement was largely fuelled by a weekend rivalry between two popular Roblox experiences, Grow a Garden and Steal a Brainrot. Both titles competed to draw in the highest number of players, with their contests of Admin Abuse gaining widespread attention among the community.

Grow a Garden ultimately secured the lead with 22 million concurrent players, while Steal a Brainrot reached more than 15 million. Combined, the two games attracted around 37 million users, accounting for more than three-quarters of Roblox’s total record-breaking peak.

The new figure highlights Roblox’s increasing influence within the gaming industry. Steam has long been regarded as the benchmark for concurrent player activity, but Roblox not only exceeded its total, it did so by more than six million users.

While the record underscores the platform’s popularity, it comes during ongoing discussions about user safety and moderation. Roblox continues to face scrutiny over how it manages content and ensures protections for its growing player base, particularly as younger audiences form a significant portion of its community.

Despite these concerns, Roblox’s recent success has reinforced its standing as one of the largest online gaming platforms in the world. The company’s ability to generate massive engagement through user-created experiences demonstrates the evolving potential of community-driven game development.
