Justin Bieber was announced on stage at a Las Vegas nightclub last weekend, but the performer was not the Grammy award-winning artist. Instead, the singer who joined DJ Gryffin at XS Nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas on August 16 was a Bieber impersonator.

The DJ posted a video on Instagram explaining how he had been told that Bieber was at the venue and wanted to perform.

“His ‘team’ said he wanted to perform ‘Sorry,’” a caption in the video read. Gryffin added that the look-alike not only resembled Bieber but also “sounded like Justin Bieber.” The DJ later captioned the clip “biebergate2025.”

Wynn Las Vegas confirmed the mix-up in a statement. “After an elaborate and multi-step ruse by him and his advance team, a Justin Bieber impersonator was granted access to the XS stage. As soon as the error was recognized, he was removed from the resort and denied future entry.”

Footage showed the impersonator, with short hair, sunglasses and tattoos, singing the hit single “Sorry” while Gryffin told the crowd, “Bieber in the house, y’all.” After the performance, Gryffin was told the person on stage was not Bieber. “No way,” he said, before being assured, “Swear on my life.”

The impersonator was later identified as French performer Dylan Desclos. His manager Julien Colas said in a statement that Desclos never claimed to be the real Bieber. Desclos allegedly ran up a $10,000 tab at the bar before being removed and permanently banned.
