Maxwell “Plaqueboymax”, a rising star in the streaming community, has officially announced his departure from FaZe Clan.

In a YouTube video posted on August 5 titled i left faze clan, the 22-year-old Twitch streamer confirmed he is stepping away from the organisation to pursue new goals, although he declined to share the reason for his decision.

“Yes, I am leaving FaZe. Like I just said, I can’t fully go into depth why I’m leaving FaZe. But I am leaving, and I am ready to... embark on my own journey and work the hardest I ever have in my career.”

He apologised to fans for the lack of detail but insisted the move had been weighing on him mentally for some time. “I can’t really go into the details and the s*t that happened behind the scenes… it’s going to feel like a gap of information... and I apologise to y’all for that.”

The streamer also revealed he had moved out and is currently in a transitional phase. “As y’all can see, I’m in a fking white room… I’m homeless right now.”

His departure follows the recent exit of FaZe co-founder Richard “Banks” Bengston, who announced a break from FaZe after controversy surrounding a crypto project.
