Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of completing a the signing of Portuguese midfielder João Palhinha, who is set to join from Bayern Munich on a loan deal.
The 30-year-old's move to North London comes after personal terms were reportedly agreed, and the deal is expected to strengthen Spurs' midfield options for the upcoming season.
Palhinha, who joined Bayern Munich from Fulham in the summer of 2024 for a fee of €51 million, struggled to secure regular first-team football during his debut season in Germany.
Despite being a key figure at Fulham, the midfielder made only 25 appearances across all competitions for Bayern, prompting him to seek more playing time.
The loan agreement between Bayern Munich and Tottenham will include a €30 million buy option for Spurs, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. Tottenham are also expected to cover 100% of the midfielder's wages during the loan spell.

Sources close to the deal confirm that Bayern Munich have given the green light for the transfer, and Palhinha is now scheduled to undergo medical tests before making the move official.
The midfielder will return to the Premier League after one season in the Bundesliga, bringing valuable experience and energy to a Spurs squad that is looking to improve its depth in midfield.
The move will be a boost for Tottenham's manager, who is keen to bolster his options in central midfield, especially after some of the club's midfielders struggled with consistency last season.
Palhinha, who earned widespread praise for his performances with Fulham, is expected to fit seamlessly into the Premier League once again, providing both defensive stability and creativity.
As Spurs gear up for the upcoming season, the addition of the Portugal international could prove to be a significant factor in their pursuit of top-flight success.
