JUI-F slams Bajaur operation as 'misguided force'

ISLAMABAD:

JUI-F on Tuesday slammed the counterterrorism operation in Bajaur, warning that the use of force has historically failed to resolve such crises.

In a statement, JUI-F spokesperson Aslam Ghauri said the provincial government had opposed the operation just days earlier, but abruptly gave its nod, raising serious concerns.

"Why is it that the public suffers in every operation, while the terrorists walk away unscathed?" Ghauri asked. "Problems have never been solved with brute force, not in the past and certainly not in the future."
