Drive targets illegal housing projects

A comprehensive report detailing the crackdown on illegal housing societies and encroachments in the federal capital, initiated on the directives of the Interior Minister, has been submitted to the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

According to the report, the CDA has uploaded comprehensive information regarding both legal and illegal housing societies operating within Islamabad's jurisdiction to its official website.

Additionally, legal proceedings have been initiated against societies that have undertaken development activities without obtaining requisite approvals.

These measures include the cancellation of layout plans and NOCs for housing societies.
