
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production (SAPM), Haroon Akhtar Khan, was called on by AD Khowaja, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA).
According to an official statement released on Saturday, both sides held a detailed discussion on the potential of EPZA, the challenges it currently faces, and strategies to make the authority more competitive and effective.
The SAPM emphasised that the Export Processing Zones Authority must align itself with international standards to attract investment and significantly boost exports.
Khan also extended his full support to the newly appointed CEO for initiating improvements and reforms aimed at enhancing the performance and operational standards of the authority up to international standards.
