The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has sprung into action against YouTubers and social media activists following the orders of the Supreme Court.
The YouTubers and social media activists had spread negative propaganda during the court trials of the May 9 cases.
The NCCIA has shortlisted around 50 YouTubers and social media accounts that allegedly disseminated false information during the proceedings.
The NCCIA is issuing notices in the first phase. If the accused fails to provide satisfactory responses, cases will be registered against them.
