Senator Faisal Vawda has strongly condemned the incident of an official of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) misbehaving with the traffic police officers who had stopped him for driving a vehicle without number plate in Seaview area. Video of the incident recorded by a citizen has gone viral.
Vawda expressed his disappointment and surprise that the higher authorities had not taken any action against the officer. In a statement, he demanded of the chief minister and FBR take immediate action and dismiss the officer from his job. Vawda warned, if action is not taken against the officer, he would raise the issue in the Senate and take it up with the Senate Standing Committee on Finance.
The incident has sparked outrage among the public, with many criticising the traffic police high-ups and the FBR authorities for not taking action against the officer. Citizens demand that government officials be held accountable and the law be applied equally to everyone, regardless of their position or status. However, neither FBR nor the traffic police department has issued an official statement or taken any action in the matter.
