Monsoon rains claim 8 lives during past 24 hours

 As monsoon rains continue to wreak havoc across the country, the death toll from weather-related incidents rose to eight in the past 24 hours on Thursday, with Punjab emerging as the hardest-hit province this season, recording the highest number of fatalities and injuries, according to a new report issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

Among the latest casualties, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa reported three deaths and five injuries, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan each recorded two fatalities, while one death occurred in Sindh.
