Kelly Clarkson has returned to The Voice for its upcoming season, titled The Voice: Battle of Champions, debuting a fresh, choppy bob haircut.
In a promotional video shared on Instagram, Clarkson sported a side-parted, wispy bob and bold red lip while dressed in a menswear inspired black and white outfit, marking a notable departure from her signature long blonde style.
The 43-year-old singer, who stepped away from the show in 2023 to relocate The Kelly Clarkson Show to New York City, is now balancing both projects as she begins coaching again.
She appears alongside returning judges John Legend and Adam Levine for season 29, set to air in Spring 2026.
The season introduces an updated format: coaches will start with 10 artists each and work through four competitive rounds, including a Triple Turn Competition, a Super Steal mechanic, and an in-studio All-Star Showdown featuring fan-favorite alumni.
Original coach CeeLo Green will also join as a guest judge, while a new voting block comprised of super-fans and former contestants will make real-time decisions during the semi-finals and finale.
Clarkson’s bold hairstyle change and the show’s revamped structure signal a refreshed look and energy ahead of her spring return.
