Hulu has announced that Only Murders in the Building will return for its fifth season on September 9, 2025.
The premiere will feature three episodes, with new installments released weekly afterward.
The popular series reunites stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez as their characters, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel, find themselves drawn into another mystery, this time involving the suspicious death of their long-time doorman, Lester, in the Arconia courtyard.
Season 5 introduces a high-profile guest cast, including Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, Logan Lerman, Keegan‑Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest, and Jermaine Fowler.
Returning cast members include Meryl Streep, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Nathan Lane, and Richard Kind.
While plot details remain under wraps, early hints suggest the investigation will delve deeper into the Arconia’s hidden past, revealing secrets tied to mob connections and billionaire schemes.
Production for the new season began in March 2025 and concluded in June. Like previous seasons, this one follows the show’s tradition of a late-summer premiere.
Only Murders in the Building has earned critical acclaim for its mix of comedy, suspense, and heart. Season 5 is expected to continue that balance while introducing new twists and dynamics to the show’s core trio.
