Two of quintuplets die after premature birth

KARACHI:

A tragic incident unfolded in Baldia Town, where a couple experienced the rare and complex birth of quintuplets in their first year of marriage.

Sadly, two of the newborns — both boys — passed away shortly after birth. The three surviving girls remain in critical condition and are currently under intensive medical care.

All five babies were delivered prematurely at just 29 weeks of gestation, in the eighth month of pregnancy. According to the family, the infants were born with severely low birth weight and underdeveloped lungs, making immediate medical intervention crucial.
