A video showing an Islamabad Traffic Police inspector misbehaving with Rescue 1122 ambulance staff has gone viral on social media.
According to details, the video showed traffic police personnel scuffling with the ambulance crew, who were responding to an emergency call. The incident took place near the Faizabad Interchange on July 21 and has sparked concern.
The Rescue 1122 authorities have submitted a formal complaint to the SSP Traffic, Islamabad, accusing the traffic police inspector of obstructing emergency services and misbehaving with on-duty staff.
The letter states that the Rescue 1122 ambulance, while responding to an emergency call, attempted to bypass a traffic diversion near Faizabad Interchange by moving onto the main road from the side lane to reach the accident site on time.
The complaint further alleges that the traffic police staff not only stopped the ambulance crew from performing their official duties but also used abusive language and physically assaulted them.
Rescue 1122 officials have termed the incident highly alarming and have demanded disciplinary, departmental, and legal action against the traffic police personnel involved in the incident.
