At the UK premiere of The Naked Gun reboot on July 22, Pamela Anderson, 58, described her new role as a creative rebirth: "I feel like I've just started my career now."

The film marks her return to mainstream comedy, with Anderson playing femme fatale Beth Davenport alongside Liam Neeson, her first major on-camera role since her Golden Globe nominated performance in The Last Showgirl.

Anderson shared that she nearly missed the opportunity to audition, as her former agent initially declined to send her the script, until director Gia Coppola intervened by sending it through one of Anderson’s sons.

She said the unexpected chance to portray a complex character in a comedic setting still “has me really excited.”

Her co-star Liam Neeson praised her presence and professionalism: “I can't compliment her enough … no huge ego. She's funny and so easy to work with. She’s going to be terrific in the film.”

Anderson described their collaboration as meaningful, noting a genuine connection: “I think I have a friend forever in Liam. We definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving.”

This role follows Anderson’s acclaimed performance in The Last Showgirl, which earned her a Golden Globe nod and helped shift perceptions of her beyond the Baywatch image.

At this stage in her career, Anderson says she’s “just really excited to be such a part of this and to play a real character.”
