Before his death on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76, Ozzy Osbourne spoke openly about his role as a father of six and grandfather of ten.
In interviews, he acknowledged the strain his early career and substance abuse placed on his family life.
He recalled a difficult conversation with his son Jack as a moment that shifted his perspective.
“Jack said, ‘You were never there,’” Osbourne admitted. “That kicked me in the balls so hard. It knocked me sideways.”
He credited that exchange as a step toward his commitment to sobriety.
As a grandfather, Osbourne embraced the title “Grandpa Ozzy” but on his own terms. Jack noted that Ozzy made boundaries clear:

“No diaper changing. I don’t want them going to school saying, ‘I was in bed with my grandpa,’” Ozzy reportedly said.
Over time, he expressed a deeper focus on family relationships.
“I’m the most important person to them,” he said of his children and grandchildren. “That means everything to me now.”
He also praised his wife Sharon’s support through health setbacks, including Parkinson’s disease and mobility loss: “She’s been my backbone through everything.”
In his final years, Osbourne frequently spoke about family milestones and time spent at home. Despite health challenges, he remained closely involved, with family remaining central to his later life.
