
The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) on Tuesday announced the results of the 2025 Annual Examinations for second year Home Economics and Special Candidates (Arts Regular) groups, with female students securing all top positions in both categories.
BIEK Chairman Faqeer Muhammad Lakho officially declared the results and shared details of the top performers in both groups.
In the Home Economics group, Erum Faisal (Roll No 2045), a student of Rana Liaquat Ali Khan Government College of Home Economics, secured first position with 1,054 marks out of 1,200, earning an A-1 grade.
The second position was claimed by Imaan Hashmi (Roll No 2044), who scored 988 marks with an A-1 grade, while Shanza Nayab (Roll No 2135) secured third position with 980 marks, also obtaining an A-1 grade.

In the Special Candidates (Arts Regular) group, Syeda Fariha (Roll No 995539) from DEWA Higher Secondary School took the top spot with 960 marks out of 1,100, achieving an A-1 grade.
The second position went to Barira Islam (Roll No 995533), also from DEWA, who scored 925 marks with an A-1 grade. Imaan Al Shams (Roll No 995502) of IDA-RIEU School and College for the Deaf secured third position with 920 marks, also earning an A-1 grade.
Sharing further details, Examinations Controller Zarina Rashid said that in the Home Economics group, a total of 198 candidates registered for the exams, out of which 189 appeared and 112 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 59.26.
Among the successful candidates, nine obtained A-1 grades, 24 received A grades, 30 achieved B grades, 31 earned C grades and 18 secured D grades.
In the Special Candidates (Arts Regular) group, 116 candidates registered, of whom 114 appeared in the exams. Out of these, 103 candidates were declared successful, marking a pass percentage of 90.35. Nineteen candidates received A-1 grades, 55 obtained A grades, 27 secured B grades and two earned C grades.
