A video of Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert in Boston has gone viral, prompting a surge of comments on Cabot’s LinkedIn profile.
The clip, which showed the two appearing on the kiss cam and looking uncomfortable, led to widespread online discussion and speculation about their relationship.
Coldplay’s Chris Martin, noticing the pair on the big screen, commented, “Oh look at these two,” before adding, “either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy,” which contributed to the video’s reach across social platforms.
Following the video, users quickly found Cabot’s LinkedIn page, leaving a range of comments referencing the incident.
Comments included, “Now that’s a cold play,” and “Is cheating with married men a requirement?” while others jokingly asked about applying for the CEO position.
Cabot’s Instagram account was made private, but her LinkedIn remained accessible despite the influx of comments. Neither Byron nor Cabot has publicly commented on the video.
Astronomer, a Cincinnati-based tech firm valued at over $1.3 billion, develops the Astro data orchestration platform powered by Apache Airflow. Byron has been CEO for over two years, while Cabot serves on the HR team.
It remains to be seen whether Byron or Cabot will address the incident publicly, as discussion around the video continues across social media.
