Fan who captured Coldplay “kiss cam” moment involving Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot speaks out

The concertgoer whose video set off the Astronomer CEO controversy has shared what happened.

The woman behind the viral Coldplay concert video featuring Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot has spoken publicly for the first time.

Grace Springer, who filmed the footage during a Coldplay show in Boston, told The US Sun that she had no idea her clip would spark such a widespread reaction online.

The video, which shows Byron and Cabot appearing on the venue's kiss cam, has now garnered more than 49 million views on her TikTok account.

“I had no idea who the couple was. Just thought I caught an interesting reaction to the kiss cam and decided to post it,” Springer explained.

Since its upload, the clip has circulated widely across platforms, leading to speculation about the nature of Byron and Cabot’s relationship.

Springer said the attention has been overwhelming, and that while she didn't intend to stir controversy, she understands the response.

“A part of me feels bad for turning these people’s lives upside down, but, play stupid games… win stupid prizes,” she added.

Springer, who describes herself as a longtime Coldplay fan, did not anticipate the level of scrutiny her video would attract.

Neither Byron, Cabot, nor Astronomer have released any official statements in response to the footage as of now.
