Alyssa Stoddard has been identified as the “embarrassed woman” whose shocked reaction went viral in the now-infamous Coldplay kiss cam video featuring Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot.

The jumbotron moment at Gillette Stadium showed Byron hugging Cabot from behind, triggering immediate speculation online about a possible affair. But it was Stoddard’s stunned expression beside them that quickly became a talking point across social platforms.

Stoddard, Astronomer’s Senior Director of People, joined the firm in January 2025, according to her LinkedIn profile. She previously held roles at Proofpoint, ObserveI, and served as a board member at Little Sparks Project.

In a January post, she wrote, “I couldn't be more excited to announce that I’ve started my next adventure! I’ve joined Kristin Cabot (Thornby) and the amazing People team at Astronomer, leading People Operations and Strategy!”

The timing of the video is especially notable, as just last week, Cabot reportedly promoted Stoddard to Vice President of People. That LinkedIn post has since resurfaced as viewers dissect the viral footage.

As the video spread, many viewers pointed out that the entire HR department seemed to be involved. One viral comment read, “Imagine your whole HR department getting blown up at a Coldplay concert.” Another noted, “Divorces definitely in the makes here plus a couple of firings.”

Stoddard has not publicly responded. Her silent reaction, captured mid-concert, now defines one of the most awkward corporate moments of the year.
