Chris Martin's response after an awkward moment during Coldplay’s Gillette Stadium concert is going viral.
In a clip now widely shared on X, the frontman is heard reacting to a kiss cam surprise that sparked a viral workplace scandal. “Holy sh*t I hope we didn’t do something bad,” Martin says, clearly taken aback.

The band’s camera had landed on Andy Byron, CEO of $1.3 billion tech firm Astronomer, embracing his HR chief, Kristin Cabot. Martin initially joked, “Oh look at these two… either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.” The comment, intended as light-hearted, quickly turned serious when online sleuths identified the pair—both reportedly married.
According to attendees, Martin spent the rest of the evening checking with every couple who appeared on screen, asking if they were truly together. The comment, paired with the couple’s reaction—ducking out of view—triggered a digital storm.
Social media users quickly linked their identities, uncovering marital ties and sparking debate around executive conduct.
Byron and Cabot have yet to comment. Byron’s wife removed his surname from her Facebook page before deactivating her account. Cabot, who oversees internal workplace culture, is now under intense scrutiny.
Though some critics blamed Martin for highlighting a private affair, others praised the exposure.
