Four dead, six injured in deadly road crash

The victims belong to a family from Punjab, who were returning from a recreational outing at the beach

KARACHI:

A serious road crash on Hawke's Bay Road, Mauripur, claimed four lives, leaving six others injured, three of them in critical condition.

The victims, hailing from Punjab, were returning from a picnic at the beach in a vehicle when the driver lost control over the steering wheel due to high speed and the car hit the wall then overturned.

The deceased have been identified as the driver of the vehicle Yousuf Din Dogar, 45, Khalida, 40, and two young girls, 7-year-old Zainab and 10-year-old Ayesha.

The injured include Zain, 20, Hussain, 4, Fatima, 8, Saba, 42, and two young girls Sehr and Anusha. All the injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital. Three of them are stated to be in critical condition.

The victims belong to a family from Punjab, who were returning from a recreational outing at the beach.

DIG Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah visited the crash site and described the incident as one of the most serious accidents of the year.

He noted that the road itself is hazardous and assured that immediate safety measures would be implemented.

He added that the family is currently in a state of shock and unable to provide any formal statements.
