Ahead of the Season 3 premiere of The Summer I Turned Pretty, the show’s team has issued a message encouraging fans to maintain respectful and kind behavior online.

A public service announcement was posted to the show’s official social media channels on Wednesday, the same day the first episode of the new season began streaming.

“Cousins is our safe place,” the message read, referencing the show’s beloved fictional beach town. “Let’s keep the conversation kind this summer.”

In addition to the PSA, a detailed set of community guidelines was shared. These include a strict prohibition on hate speech, personal attacks on the cast and crew, and doxxing or harassing fellow fans.

“We have a ZERO tolerance policy for bullying and hate speech,” the post stated. “If you engage in any of the following, you will be banned.”

The show, based on Jenny Han’s bestselling book series, has developed a passionate and active fanbase since its debut.
