Benny Blanco confirmed during a podcast appearance on Therapuss with Jake Shane on July 10, 2025, that he and fiancée Selena Gomez plan to begin wedding preparations later this summer.
The couple, who got engaged in December 2024, have delayed planning due to their packed schedules.
Blanco explained that both are currently juggling multiple projects, Selena with her filming and music commitments, and himself with upcoming book releases, studio work, and a collaborative album. Despite the busyness, he emphasized that their downtime remains meaningful and relaxed.
“Honestly, I really want to take a little break. I have been working so much. I just want to lie in bed and forget what day it is… Not usually, but with Selena, I can do it all day. She makes me want to hang out and cuddle, just watch things, eat food, and have the best time ever,” Blanco shared.
When asked about the wedding, Blanco described it as something they want to feel “chill” and “amazing.”
He noted that Gomez already has a vision board with ideas like a backyard setting, incorporating Jewish traditions such as the Hora and challah, and opting for a dance with her grandfather instead of a traditional first dance.
He also mentioned that longtime friend Ed Sheeran may be among the invited guests.
While a specific date has not been set, the couple intends to sit down later in the summer to start finalizing plans for the ceremony.
