Singer and actress Demi Lovato is generating buzz online after teasing a new music era through a series of cryptic social media moves. Fans began speculating on Tuesday night when Lovato, 32, updated her profile picture on Spotify—prompting immediate anticipation of a comeback.
The speculation intensified as Lovato swiftly followed up with a full social media reset and mysterious updates. Within 24 hours, she wiped her Instagram feed, changed her bios to “i wanna go…”, removed all LinkTree links, and altered her profile photo. Fans also noticed her official website had gone offline.
Lovato then resurfaced an old tweet from 2016 that read, “F--k this.. I’m back b--ches. And I’m coming back more honest than ever.” On Wednesday morning, she posted a photo on X (formerly Twitter) of herself seated in a stark white studio with her back to the camera. An hour later, she followed up with an Instagram photo, posing in a black dress with the caption, “i’m not so sure, i’ve ever felt like this before.”
Lovato’s devoted fanbase, known as the Lovatics, flooded social media with excitement following the surprise online activity. Comments ranged from “DEMI LOVATO IS COMING” to emotional reactions like, “I’ve missed you.”
Lovato’s last album of original material, HOLY FVCK, was released in 2022. Since then, she has dropped REVAMPED, a rock reimagining of her past hits, and released several collaborations.
Best known for her Disney Channel roots in Camp Rock and Sonny with a Chance, Lovato has built a career on powerful vocals and deeply personal music. She is also a prominent advocate for mental health, body positivity, and LGBTQ+ rights.
While no release date has been confirmed, fans are eagerly awaiting her musical return.
