Man kills teen daughter over TikTok dispute

Initially, the family tried to cover up the murder as a suicide.

RAWALPINDI:

A man allegedly shot and killed his 16-year-old daughter for refusing to delete her TikTok account in Rawat.

Initially reported as a suicide by the family, police investigation exposed the truth.

A case was registered by Head Constable Shahbaz Anjum, who stated that the accused, Ikhlaq Ahmed, asked his daughter, Mahak Shehzadi, to delete her TikTok account.

When she refused, he allegedly shot her in a fit of rage, claiming it was a matter of honour.

After the incident, Ikhlaq fled the scene. However, a police team led by SHO Zahid Zahoor arrested him. CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani took notice of the incident and ordered a full investigation by SP Saddar Nabeel Khokhar.

Post-mortem confirmed it was a homicide.

Evidence was collected from the scene, and a case was registered under serious charges.

CPO Hamdani stated that crimes against women and children are intolerable. If more suspects are found involved, they will also be brought to justice.
