Justice Dogar sworn in as IHC CJ

The ceremony was attended by judges of the high court, ministers, parliamentarians, members of lawyers' bodies

Justice Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar was sworn in as the chief justice of the IHC at a ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on July 9. 2025.

ISLAMABAD:

Justice Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar was sworn in as the chief justice of the IHC at a ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The oath-taking ceremony was held a day after President Asif Ali Zardari approved their appointments, based on the nominations by the JCP. President Zardari also administered the oath to Chief Justice Dogar.

The ceremony was attended by judges of the high court, Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, ministers, parliamentarians, representatives and members of lawyers' bodies and legal fraternity, law officers, lawyers and media.
