Inspection: Engineering council visits SSUET

KARACHI: An inspection team of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) carried out two-day inspection of the computer engineering department of Sir Syed University of Science and Technology (SSUET). The department produced 117 research papers in 2011. The council were told that university signed an MoU with Microsoft for collaborative research in emerging fields besides having collaborative research in Very Large Scale Integration design, software engineering and bio-informatics. The inspectors were also told that university’s researches are supervised by professors from North America.
