Two wanted criminals from the Shah Gang were killed in an encounter with the police Crime Control Department (CCD) in Nishtar Colony.

The Model Town CCD received intelligence about the presence of wanted criminals in Nishtar Colony and launched a raid on their hideout. According to officials, the suspects opened indiscriminate fire on the police, leading to a crossfire that lasted for half an hour.

Two suspects injured in the firing, identified as Rehmad and Nalin Shah from Faisalabad's Shah Gang, succumbed to their injuries while being transported to a hospital.

Several other gang members managed to escape during the firefight, and the police said they were being pursued.

"The deceased were wanted by the police in multiple cases including those of murder, robbery, street crime, extortion and other serious offences," said a police spokesperson. Both suspects had been on the wanted list for various criminal activities across the region.

The encounter raised the total number of Shah Gang members killed in police operations in the past three days to seven.
