On June 28, 2025, the first official poster for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey appeared in AMC theaters across Los Angeles, prompting instant buzz among filmgoers and fans online.

In May, IMAX CEO Rich Gelfond confirmed The Odyssey would be the first feature-length movie filmed entirely on IMAX film using newly designed lightweight and quieter cameras, built specifically for Nolan’s production.
Audiences quickly shared photos of the poster on social media, with Reddit users confirming it had been installed by AMC staff overnight. While some compared the minimalist look to Nolan’s Oppenheimer, others praised the mythic tone and visual impact.
Starring Matt Damon as Odysseus, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, and Lupita Nyong’o. Universal Pictures will release The Odyssey in US theaters on July 17, 2026.
