ISLAMABAD:

Senator Faisal Vawda has claimed that the PTI leadership wanted to lose the reserved seats case as it had presented a very weak case. In an interview, he stated that he had predicted one and a half to two years ago that the PTI would be disappointed.

“The way the PTI pursued the case, it was bound to lose. Legally, there was nothing substantial in it. The decision announced on Friday is based on merit because the legal requirements were fulfilled,” the politician, who served as a federal minister in Imran Khan’s cabinet, said.

Vawda further said PTI leaders “want to keep Imran Khan behind bars” and that “they are succeeding”.

“The PTI members are fully enjoying the situation. They get perks, salaries, and official vehicles. They go about it in an organized manner and with mutual understanding and want to keep the former prime minister behind bars,” he alleged.
