Brad Pitt’s Los Angeles residence was burglarized on the night of June 25, in what police are calling a “targeted break-in.”
Around 10:30 p.m., three unidentified suspects reportedly climbed over the property's fencing, broke through a front window, and ransacked the home before fleeing the scene.
The burglary took place in the Los Feliz neighborhood at a property believed to be owned by Pitt, which he reportedly purchased in 2023 for approximately $5.5 million.
The LAPD confirmed officers responded to a burglary alarm and found the house had been forcefully entered. While the specific items stolen have not yet been disclosed, authorities say personal property was taken and the suspects appeared to have moved quickly through the home. Surveillance footage is currently being reviewed, and forensic teams have been deployed to collect potential evidence.
Pitt, 61, was not home at the time of the incident. He is currently overseas promoting his upcoming film F1: The Movie, and had just appeared at the London premiere on June 23. His team has not issued a public statement regarding the break-in.
This incident adds to a rising trend of celebrity-targeted home invasions in Los Angeles. Earlier this year, homes linked to high-profile individuals such as Nicole Kidman and Tom Hanks were also burglarized.
Police are investigating whether Pitt’s home was selected randomly or due to his celebrity status and widely reported travel schedule.
As of now, no arrests have been made. The LAPD is urging anyone with information to come forward, as the investigation remains ongoing.
Further updates are expected in the coming days as authorities gather more details.
