RAWALPINDI:

Police on Thursday registered a case against a man and his two accomplices for allegedly killing his sister and injuring brother-in-law over a love marriage in the jurisdiction of Taxila Police Station.

According to the police, Aamir Shehzad stated in his complaint that he works at a cardboard factory in Karachi and is a permanent resident of Attock. He had contracted a court marriage with 24-year-old Iqra Bibi some time ago.

On Wednesday, after recording statements under Section 164 at the Taxila court, he was traveling in a rickshaw with his wife Iqra Bibi, mother Naseem Bibi, and sister Nosheen Bibi to visit a relative's house near Bara Phatak.

During the course of time, three armed motorcyclists — Talal Shah, his employee Abbas, and an unidentified accomplice — forced their rickshaw to stop.

Talal opened fire on Iqra, who was fatally injured and died on the spot. Abbas allegedly shot and injured Aamir Shehzad, while his sister Nosheen Bibi managed to save herself by taking shelter in a nearby shop.
