‘Squid Game’ season 3 drops tonight. Here’s when and where to watch

The games are back for one last time. Squid Game Season 3 premieres Thursday, June 27, exclusively on Netflix. All six episodes of the dystopian K-drama will go live at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET, dropping globally at the same time for all subscribers.

The South Korean thriller, which took the world by storm in 2021, follows a group of debt-ridden individuals who agree to take part in deadly children’s games for a massive cash prize. This time, the show picks up right after protagonist Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) re-enters the game in a personal quest to expose its creators and dismantle the operation from within.

Season 2 ended on a grim note, with Gi-hun rallying players for a rebellion, only to be betrayed by Front Man, later revealed to be hiding in plain sight as Player 001. Season 3 will follow Gi-hun’s return to the arena and the rise of the Front Man, played by Lee Byung-hun, who resumes control of the game with even deadlier consequences.

Series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk previously told Variety that this season would be his last. “I never planned for a second or third season. Making this has taken a toll on me. I lost almost nine teeth,” he shared.

Despite the physical and emotional exhaustion, Hwang has promised a thrilling conclusion to the franchise that made history and shook audiences across the world.
