Pay days: 15,000 railway officials unpaid

Nearly 15,000 Pakistan Railways officials from all districts excluding Lahore, have yet to be paid for the last month.

TOBA TEK SINGH: Nearly 15,000 Pakistan Railways officials from all districts excluding Lahore, have yet to be paid for the last month. According to several Railway officials, railway personnel from basic pay scale (BPS) ranks 1 to 7 used to receive their salary between the 13th and 14th of every month. However, officials from the Faisalabad, Chiniot, Toba Tek Singh, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sahiwal and other districts have not yet been paid. Railway officials said that the said State Bank had provided Rs50,000,000 to help the Railways recover some debt but this was used to pay officials in Lahore.
