BTS’s J-hope has made history with his latest single Killin’ It Girl, debuting at No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming the first K-pop soloist to notch eight entries on the chart. The song, featuring rapper GloRilla, marks J-hope’s highest solo ranking yet in the United States and cements his growing global impact outside the group.

Billboard confirmed on June 24 that the track also topped the Digital Song Sales chart, making it the best-selling track in the U.S. that week. It debuted at No. 2 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 3 on the Global 200, adding to its impressive debut week.

Killin’ It Girl also landed J-hope a re-entry into the Artist 100 at No. 52, his 16th week on that chart as a soloist. With this release, J-hope surpasses bandmate Jungkook for the most Hot 100 entries by a K-pop soloist to date.

This year has seen J-hope drop three charting singles, all landing in the Hot 100. Sweet Dreams featuring Miguel entered at No. 66, and Mona Lisa followed at No. 65. Killin’ It Girl, the final track in his 2024 singles series, is his strongest performer so far.

Across the Atlantic, the song also entered the UK Official Singles Top 100 at No. 30 - another personal record for the BTS star. With his enlistment currently ongoing, the success of his solo project demonstrates the enduring popularity and global influence of J-hope as both a performer and producer.
