RAWALPINDI:

The Murghi Pal (Backyard Poultry) Programme has been excluded from the new Punjab provincial budget for the fiscal year 2025–26. The summary for the re-launch of the poultry project has been officially rejected, and no funds have been allocated for its continuation. Simultaneously, the federal government has also formally discontinued the programme in its new budget.

Both federal and provincial authorities have directed the department concerned to continue routine operations using their own existing resources, without any additional financial support.
