PESHAWAR:

Investigators have identified the group responsible for the attacks on Maulana Hamidul Haq and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. A detailed investigation report has been submitted to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, confirming the group's involvement.

Inspector General of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Police, Zulfiqar Hameed, verified the development, stating that an international terrorist organization, aided by the intelligence agencies of two hostile countries, orchestrated the suicide attack that killed Maulana Hamidul Haq.

According to the IG, significant progress has been made in the investigation into the assassination of Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani—son of the late Maulana Samiul Haq and a former Member of the National Assembly. The group involved in the attack has been identified, and a comprehensive report detailing their activities and foreign backing has been sent to the Prime Minister.

Sources confirm that the nationality of the suicide bomber has also been verified.
