
At least 23 well-known information technology companies have expressed willingness to establish their institutions in the Nawaz Sharif IT City Silicon Block. Plots have also been acquired for establishing institutions or offices in the block.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was informed in a meeting that the IT city had become the first institution in the province approved by the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) along with the approval for the establishing the NSIT Silicon Block.
The participants were informed that a medical college and hospital and an IT university would be built in the zone. Renowned will also jointly build Tier 3 and 4 data centres.
Punjab Central Business District Development Authority CEO Imran Amin gave a detailed briefing on the progress made on the projects.
