Kim Woodburn, the iconic co-host of How Clean Is Your House and standout Celebrity Big Brother finalist, has died at 83 following a short illness. Her passing has prompted a wave of heartfelt tributes from her husband Peter Woodburn, colleagues and fans across the UK.
Peter shared a touching post with a montage of personal photos, writing: “My wonderful, beautiful, Kim passed away last night. God bless, my love.” Their 46-year marriage was a constant through Kim’s late-blooming TV career, which began at age 60 and flourished for over two decades.
Her former co-host Aggie MacKenzie broke her silence despite their famously strained relationship, saying: “Kim was a tormented soul, but now she’s finally at peace. Behind the fierce persona was deep pain and incredible strength.” MacKenzie called her co-star “an unforgettable woman.”
This Morning hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard paused their broadcast to honour Kim’s memory, calling her “a light that burned brightly” and “one on her own.” Fans online echoed these sentiments, describing her as “a true original” and “TV gold.”
Claire Sweeney, who appeared alongside Kim on Come Dine With Me, remembered her warmly: “She was telly gold. She’ll be missed.” Gogglebox’s George Baggs added, “What a woman she was.”
Online, fans recalled her wit and comfort during difficult times. “RIP Kim. Thank you for the laughs,” one wrote. “There’s no one else like you,” said another.
