Balochistan budget to focus on welfare, uplift

The Balochistan government has finalized a public-centric budget that prioritizes the development of underprivileged areas, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and employment generation, provincial government spokesperson Shahid Rind announced on Saturday.

Speaking at a press conference, Rind stated that the provincial budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 will be presented on June 17. He emphasized that the budget has been prepared to reflect the aspirations of the people of Balochistan and to promote economic and social progress across the province.

"The current government, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, is committed to fully utilizing development resources. So far, 90 per cent of the Rs200 billion allocated for development has been spent, and we are confident of achieving 100 per cent utilization by the end of this fiscal year," he said.

Rind highlighted key achievements and the government's performance, noting that previous administrations had failed to spend more than 62 per cent of their development budgets.
