SC reinstates jobs of four govt hospital employees

The Supreme Court has accepted the appeal against the dismissal of four government hospital Tharparkar employees and ordered their reinstatement.

The Supreme Court Karachi Registry heard an appeal against the High Court decision to dismiss employees from the government hospital in Tharparkar taluka Diplo. The appellants' lawyer argued that the employees were recruited on merit in 2015. The appellants were dismissed after hiring politically influential employees.

The court was angry on the dismissal of employees after being given jobs on merit.

Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar questioned, "Who is responsible? Under what circumstances they were dismissed after the offer letters were issued?" The lawyer informed the court that the health secretary and the officers of the district headquarters hospital are responsible.
