The Water Corporation has completed the repair of 36-inch diameter pipeline at the University of Karachi.
The engineers along with their team members during the repair process found that the 'inspection tee neck plate', essential for the effective functioning of the pipeline, was missing, which was the main reason of leakage. They installed the plate and plugged the leakage.
According to Chief Engineer WTM Syed Muhammad Ijaz, it was discovered that miscreants had stolen the inspection tee neck plate. He described the theft as a heinous act, stating that its intent was to disrupt the city's water supply and create difficulties for the public.
