Rapper and YouTuber DDG has filed for a domestic violence restraining order against Halle Bailey, claiming she poses a threat to their 17-month-old son and should be prevented from taking him overseas.

The filing specifically aims to block a planned trip to Italy, citing a lack of emergency intervention protections outside the U.S.

According to court documents obtained by People, DDG—real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.—alleges Bailey made repeated threats of self-harm and suicide. He also described an alarming incident where she allegedly took a firearm after an argument and was later found “emotionally unwell, incoherent, and potentially suicidal” while holding the weapon.

The court request comes after Bailey was granted temporary physical and legal custody of their child in May, following her own allegations that DDG subjected her to emotional and physical abuse.

The couple’s ongoing custody dispute has unfolded publicly, with a notable clash in November when Bailey accused DDG of livestreaming with their son without her permission.

"I'm extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people without being notified," Bailey said at the time.

No court date has been set yet regarding DDG’s restraining order request. The legal battle continues to draw attention as fans and followers monitor the developments of this high-profile celebrity custody case
